Berklee College Of Music (Not sure why this site is different from the official berklee.edu site… Looks kinda shady but nonetheless it’s legitimate), just released part 2 of their music business handbook series. They cover a bunch of music biz topics ranging from copyright law to unpaid royalties to general entrepreneurship. Valuable information… and best of all it’s free.
Came across this video today. It profiles 7 producers who unified to create the Docutape soundtrack. Always good to see up and coming producers putting that work in… Check out the album on itunes after you check the video… Just picked up a couple tracks myself.

Here is a short “Documentary” for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne album session they had down in Sydney Australia. Don’t expect anything too great from a music perspective, this is no Fade To Black. Best highlight to me is Kanye giving weird gifts to Jay for his birthday and Jay awkwardly pretending he likes them. Russell Crowe makes and appearance too… which is interesting, considering he has recently latched on to Rza’s upcoming movie The Man With The Iron Fist. I guess he hangs out with every rapper who comes to Australia?
Heard that new Nas f/Common track, “Ghetto Dreams” today… Always liked this track NO I.D. sampled for it, never used it myself though. This is some real early George Clinton writing/production from 1966 (That’s him on the left)…
