MPC & MPD Pad Upgrade…

Note:  If you EVER thought that your drum pad responsiveness could be better, read on…

I’ve never been an MPC guy, but I’ve been around MPCs a lot.   I’ve seen them in action, messed around with them & made a few half beats on them.  The bulk of my life experience on the pads has been with pad controllers.  My first was an mpd16, then got the 24, now have the 32.   In my experience, the difference in responsiveness between MPC and MPD pads has been night and day.  The MPC pads were always WAYYYYY more responsive.   They were so unresponsive, I just started pushing them like buttons instead of banging on them like an instrument.  I just assumed and accepted that MPD pads were just complete bulls#it…

IK Multimedia’s Amplitube 3… The Official Review!

I used to own a Roland Fantom X6 keyboard workstation.  I loved it.  We had good times.  We made some great tracks.  We made a few bucks.  It served me well…  But about a year ago I betrayed it and posted it up on eBay.   I had made the decision to go 100% MIDI controller and “in the box” for my keyboard sounds.  One of the main reasons for this was the growing quality of products such as IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube.   These plugins can essentially take one solitary high quality WAV file and turn it into thousands of different & great sounding “patches”.  This, in my humble opinion, is something that is making hard-to-edit keyboard patches borderline obsolete.  That being said, IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube has been one of my favorite plugins for a while & and it seems they have stepped their game up again.   I am pleased to present to you my first ever review, reviewing AmpliTube 3!  Click below for MORE!

Review: PMPWorldwide.com ARS (Ad Revenue Sharing) Program…

There has been some talk in the producer circles online about PMPWorldwide.com’s new feature.  PMP worldwide has recently implemented a brand new ARS (Ad Revenue Sharing) program for their members.   Essentially, in return for driving visitors to your pmp profile page, you get a quarterly paypal “check”.  Since there is no real explanation of how the system works on the site, I figured I’d show you all how it looks from the member side of things (Courtesy of PMP’s comprehensive stat tracking)…
