Review: PMPWorldwide.com ARS (Ad Revenue Sharing) Program…

There has been some talk in the producer circles online about PMPWorldwide.com’s new feature.  PMP worldwide has recently implemented a brand new ARS (Ad Revenue Sharing) program for their members.   Essentially, in return for driving visitors to your pmp profile page, you get a quarterly paypal “check”.  Since there is no real explanation of how the system works on the site, I figured I’d show you all how it looks from the member side of things (Courtesy of PMP’s comprehensive stat tracking)…

The ARS system works in tiers.  If you reach a certain tier, you get a specific payment…

My tier 2 ranking was based off of the amount of “Audience Points” I accumulated over the 1st quarter of this year.  “Audience points”

are based off of the amount of unique visitors, page views and hits on your profile page.   Here is what my audience points looked like for the quarter…

I haven’t really been updating my page  the last few months.  So the spikes in viewership are probably coming from times my profile is featured on the PMP home page.   Here is a breakdown of my other stats…

Unique Visitors Per Day: This graph shows the total number of unique visitors to your Producer page on a given day.  This does not include repeat visitors on the same day. (click for bigger pic)

Total Hits Per Day: This graph shows the sum total of Bio views, Video views, Photo views and Track plays on your Producer/Writer page on a given day.

So there it is.  As you can see, I get a bit of traffic coming through to my page.  I don’t know how much more traffic it takes to get to the higher tiers though.   I also doubt if anyone would actually be able to cover the costs of a PMP membership with this ARS, but kudos to them for putting it in effect.  Hopefully this will start a trend for all the music showcasing sites out there…

This is a promising initiative from PMP.

This is a great way for Producers to make passive income without actually selling beats rather beat listens (views).

Traffic is key for the New Producer on the net today.

    Good post.

A bunch of people have been asking me how I placed the “Bright Lights Big City” track with Jim Jones. It was pretty easy actually. This is a straight forward example of how real networking pays off.
