Mike Chav is back. This time dropping some knowledge on parallel compression on snares… I just tried the low pass/comped trick on the snare and it works spectacularly. This is definitely a great way to get a good drum sound going. Thanks for the knowledge Mike Chav!

All I listen to nowadays is massive amounts of old school music on my iPod. I sift through the thousands of songs I have downloaded off of soulseek & various blogs looking for samples & generally good to listen to stuff. The Jim Bond iPod Expearience (Yes I know it’s spelled wrong) will essentially make me, YOUR sample finder. Every time I get a new batch of sampleable songs off of my iPod, I will post them up here. I’m even going to rate them as I do on my iPod (explanation below). I think this should be interesting for all you sample fiends out there…
